Fragments of Perception
Three Digital Paintings
For this assignment, I selected 3 compositions from my previous "36 Views" project to transform 3 images into original paintings using photoshop. After selecting my top 3, I applied color theory and explored brushes such as oil paint, charcoal, and markers to develop a personal style. Additionally, my instructor provided helpful feedback to increase the contrast of my crimson bloom flower. Which I found enlightening because it inspired me to increase the vibrance of the flower and add more brushstrokes to blend colors to create color harmony. Overall, I believe my work showcases moods such as yearning, solitude, and tension. I found that by isolating subjects, pushing contrast, and showing the messy yet uniformed brushstrokes, helped me increase the emotion I was feeling while digitally painting.

The Final Compositions
This series of digital paintings explores color, texture, and composition through expressive brushwork and stylized environments. Each piece experiments with layered textures and simplified forms to create emotional atmosphere while transforming ordinary subjects into more abstract and cinematic visual experiences.
“Crimson Bloom” focuses on organic contrast through vivid red tones and floral imagery, “Threshold in Blue” explores architectural structure and perspective through cool-toned textures, and “Radient Convergence” investigates movement, rhythm, and visual balance through geometric abstraction and converging color patterns. Together, the works explore how color and texture can shape mood, depth, and visual storytelling within digital painting.
