Futurbit
Typographic Poster
For this assignment, I created an 18" x 24" event poster in illustrator using a custom grid to organize and align the composition. I typeset all the information required and incorporated colors from my previous apparel graphic. Additionally, my instructor gave me enlightening feedback to remove some elements to provide extra space to have a clearer visual hierarchy. In the revised version, I focused on improving contrast, space, and refining alignment of type such as " The Conference for Tech and Innovation" to improve readability. Overall, I learned about the importance of placement and found how to work with my design instead of against it.
Concept Development & Thumbnail Exploration
These thumbnail sketches explore typographic poster concepts for a fictional technology conference titled FUTURBIT. Through grid systems, geometric layouts, and typography experimentation, the concepts investigate hierarchy, readability, and visual balance while developing a futuristic editorial-inspired design direction.
Final Typographic Poster Design
This poster explores typography, hierarchy, and geometric composition through a retrofuturistic visual style focused on depth and optical illusion. I wanted the layout to feel immersive and dimensional, so I experimented with perspective based geometric forms to create the illusion of floating structures and layered space throughout the composition.

I enjoyed combining typography with illusion inspired shapes because it allowed the text to become part of the environment rather than feeling separate from the design itself. The project also explores visual rhythm, contrast, and readability through structured grids, bold typography, and a futuristic color palette that helps reinforce movement, energy, and innovation within the overall composition.
